Iceep is now also present with its takeback solution for used textiles in Western Switzerland. Back in March, the technology provider from Uster in the Swiss canton of Zurich launched a takeback program for unused base layers in partnership with the clothing manufacturer Revario from Marly in the canton of Fribourg. When making an online purchase at Revario, customers can offer their unused base layers in exchange for new items.

Initial feedback has been positive, according to the statement. Since being launched, the takeback option has already been used in 12.8 percent of all online transactions.

With its solution, iceep is seeking to combine clothing returns with a customer loyalty scheme by integrating the returns process into the customer experience. Participating brands gain access to used materials that can then be repurposed for the next product cycle. In so doing, they are able to connect their own return programs to a broader circular ecosystem as well.

In the view of Petros Timotheou, the potential is huge: “More than 90 percent of the European fashion market is made up of small and medium-sized fashion brands”, as the iceep founder and CEO explains. In this way, thousands of smaller brands can play a part in jointly shaping the future of Swiss and European textile circularity. Among the Swiss brands to have already implemented the iceep solution are Muntagnard, Reslides and Rotauf.

Iceep is a brand owned by INNOVOPOLIS AG, which was founded in 2020. ce/ug
