The Paprec Swiss Group from Carouge in the Swiss canton of Geneva, a subsidiary of the French Paprec Group, and Metabader from Le Mont-sur-Lausanne in the canton of Vaud, are joining forces. As the newly formed Paprec Metabader group, the merged entity will operate more than 31 locations and subsidiaries and become a market leader for recycling in Switzerland. With the participation of Clean Energy Infrastructure Switzerland 3 and Reichmuth Infrastructure Switzerland, the group is majority Swiss-owned in terms of capital share, as detailed in a statement.
Christophe Gence of Paprec will continue to manage the German-Swiss division of the company. Metabader CEO Jack Bader will support the group during the transition phase to oversee a seamless process. Jessy Bader, another Metabader CEO, will become CEO and co-shareholder of Paprec Metabader.

Mathieu Petithuguenin, President and CEO of Paprec, is similarly ecstatic at the agreed merger: “The combination of our expertise and extensive network of locations will allow us to offer tailored services to industrial companies and public-sector clients, ensuring that their waste is optimally recycled and recovered”.
Paprec has been active in Switzerland for more than 15 years, operating in areas such as recycling and confidential data destruction. After the takeover of Helvetia Environnement in 2024, the group employed nearly 700 staff at 20 sites throughout Switzerland.
The Metabader Group is a family-owned company that specializes in the transport and recovery of recyclable materials. It operates a total of 11 sites, the majority of which are situated in Western Switzerland. ce/nta
